Here is one of the few comics I drew pre-iPad using Microsoft paint. Also, it’s way easier to doodle on my iPad than drawing bad pictures with MS Paint.
Pulling one my archive today. This one makes me giggle 🙂
I left Patreon back in 2023 because I was burnt out. I felt this pressure, that I wasn’t creating enough comics or active enough with events and new downloads, to be worth supporting.
First and foremost, I miss having this community. I like having a space where people who support my work can actually contribute to my work by offering inspiration and feedback.
Secondly, I didn’t have a space for sharing new comics on topics not directly related to my daily work. My website (freshspectrum.com) is not primarily a comics website. As time has gone on, the posts on the site have become more niche (focused mainly on report design for evaluators). So I plan to use this Patreon space as my comics website.
Finally, having Patreon is also a nice way to get a little bit of funding to help defray ongoing web maintenance costs. I value my website and weekly newsletter, but they are not exactly cheap to run.
So I’m back.
The biggest difference this time, is that you don’t have to pay anything to access my posts. You can get everything I share, without paying me a dime. There is also no difference between the tiers.
Support me if you can, but no worries if you can’t.
I’m just glad you’re here.
Stay awesome,
Chris Â
